CryptoParty @ 31C3

This is the counter part to https://events.ccc.de/congress/2014/wiki/Assembly:CryptoParty

Both are wikis. Your contribution and ideas are welcome!

The CryptoParty Assembly at the 31st Chaos Communication Congress 27-Dec-2014 to 30-Dec-2014 in Hamburg is intended as an open space for everyone – independent of age, gender or technical expertise. We want to meet other people, share knowledge and have fun while doing so.

CryptoParty is a decentralized and global movement. Our goal is to make encryption (and the underlying principles) accessible for everyone.

Privacy and security by means of encryption, anonymization or otherwise are basic human rights. Here you can learn to encrypt your communication, files and footprints on your computer and the internet.

Feel free to to add yourself as an assembly member at the 31C3 Wiki.

Tracks

At the assembly we plan to have the following tracks:

  • CryptoParty
  • How To CryptoParty
  • Documentation & Resources

There is also a PGP keysigning event organized by another assembly (Nordige Nerds). You can find information about it below in the “Sessions” section.

CryptoParty

This is where you can learn to improve your online privacy and security through encryption. You can drop in any time at the assembly.

How to CryptoParty

Want to know how to throw your own CryptoParty? We do it all the time all over the world. You're very much welcome to join the movement. You can drop in any time at the assembly.

We will have additional sessions in other rooms, too (see session list below). Is anything you'd like to happen missing? Please talk to us at the assembly or add it to the wishlist below. If we run out of space or time for more things we have succeeded (-;

Documentation & Resources

Here we improve the existing documentation on this very website or in form of the CryptoParty Handbook, create new flyers, stickers, etc. Anything that helps people to improve their knowledge or spread the word. We will meet at the assembly for specific topics (see session list below). Feel free to add anything that might be missing to the wishlist.
