Privatsphäre ist der Raum, in dem Ideen entstehen, und in den man sich zurückziehen kann, wann immer man möchte. Dieser Raum ist nicht nur physisch, sondern auch digital. Weder Regierungen noch Konzerne möchten dies respektieren. Deswegen nehmen wir das selbst in die Hand.

Aufgrund der derzeitigen Kontaktbeschränkungen werden immer mehr soziale Aktivitäten in digitalen Raum verlagert. In dieser Zeit ist der Schutz unserer Privatsphäre von besonderer Bedeutung.

CryptoParties sind offen für alle, insbesondere für Menschen ohne Vorwissen und/oder die sich bislang noch nicht getraut haben, kostenlos, und sollen in erster Linie Spaß machen!

CryptoParties finden weltweit statt und sind dezentral organisiert. Das Ziel ist allen Menschen Wissen und Fähigkeiten zu vermitteln, sich im digitalen Raum zu schützen. Dazu gehört die Verschlüsselung der Kommunikation, das Verhindern von Tracking und allgemeine Sicherheitstips für Computer und Smartphone.

Wie immer gilt, auch für Videochats:

Privacy is the space in which ideas are developed, to retreat into whenever you want. This space is not only physical but digital as well. Governments and companies don't want to respect that so we become active ourselves.

Because of the current physical contact limitations, more and more social activities take place in the digital space. In these times, the protection of our privacy is of particular importance.

CryptoParties are open for everyone but especially for people without prior knowledge that didn't dare attend yet, for free and most of all fun.

CryptoParty is a decentralized movement with events happening all over the world. The goal is to pass on knowledge about protecting yourself in the digital space. This can include encrypted communication, preventing being tracked while browsing the web and general security advice for computers and smartphones.

Diese (und gern auch weitere) Themen werden für Laptop und Handy angeboten. Leider sind nicht alle Tools fürs Handy verfügbar. Auf https://cryptoparty.in/learn/tools gibt es eine Übersicht von empfohlenen Programmen und Apps.

Passwortsicherheit und -manager brauchen wir häufiger und machen es mit den anderen Themen zusammen.

Wir helfen auch gerne beim Installieren von Linux oder Tails (sicheres und anonymes Betriebssystem).

• 19 Uhr: Ankommen, Platz suchen, kurze Willkommens- und Einführungsrede, evtl. gefolgt von Kurzvorträgen
• spätestens um 19.30 Uhr werden die Laptops aufgeklappt, spezifische Themen diskutiert, zugehörige Programme eingerichtet

• Fotographieren und Filmen wird nicht erlaubt sein. Bitte lasst die Kameras in euren Taschen.
• Rauchen ist vor dem Gebäude (und wahrscheinlich auf dem Balkon) möglich.

All topics are offered for laptops and mobile phones and not limited to those mentioned above. Unfortunately not all tools are available for mobiles though. You can find a list of recommended apps and programs on https://cryptoparty.in/learn/tools.

Passwords and how to manage them is needed quite often and integrated into the other topics.

We also help you to install Linux or Tails (secure and anonymous operating system).

• 7 p.m.: arriving, find your place, short intro and welcome speech, possibly followed by short lectures
• 7.30 p.m. (at the latest) we'll start the laptops, learn about the topics you are interested in and install/configure the related software

• Taking photos or filming will not be allowed. Please leave the cameras in your pockets.
• Smoking is possible outside the building (and probably on the balcony).
